"My mother's experience told me Mayo was something special," says Evelyn Ray-Rogers.

As an insurance agent, Evelyn was quick to check her own insurance coverage for Mayo Clinic when it came to treating her breast cancer in 2001. Because of Mayo's collaborative model of care, Evelyn was able to have a mammogram, sonogram, and biopsy — all in one day.

Now, seven years later, Evelyn's treatment has left her cancer-free and able to enjoy the things she loves, such as the piano. "I tell everyone," she says, "if it's serious, you should go to Mayo Clinic."
