The National Multiple Sclerosis Society has recognized Mayo Clinic in Arizona's Multiple Sclerosis Center as a designated multidisciplinary center focused on the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of people with multiple sclerosis and other demylinating disease.
The MS Center's goal is to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan for patients with MS. In addition, the MS Center strives to provide an opportunity for patients to address their needs with each specialty service and leave with a treatment plan to optimize their health.
People with MS will experience a focused assessment by the MS Center, timely and efficiently, and will meet each team member for an evaluation and examination. Team members include neurologists, nurses, and physical and occupational therapists. Other specialties such as urology and social work are available. A representative from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society can provide referrals to community resources.
A team of medical professionals, which includes registered nurses and specialists from the Department of Neurology Multiple Sclerosis Center and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are dedicated to the care of people with MS. The team's goal is to provide the best care possible and provide that care compassionately to each individual. Other specialties such as Urology and social work are available on designated clinic days and a representative from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is also invited to meet with each person for referrals to community resources.
