The Division of Dermatologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota has four fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeons, making it the largest academic dermatologic surgery practice in the United States. Specialists in Rochester care for more than 170 patients with melanomas annually.
Melanoma skin cancer is treated by specialists in Dermatology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Ophthalmology. For advanced melanoma skin cancers, multidisciplinary consultations with specialists from head and neck surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, oncology and other specialty areas are organized as needed.
