Melanoma

Treatment in Florida

Mayo Clinic doctors in Florida treat hundreds of patients with melanoma each year. The melanoma treatment and diagnosis options described in these pages, including Mohs surgery (using immunohistochemical stains for lentigo maligna), are available in Florida. Melanoma is treated by a multispecialty team of doctors in Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery and Hematology/Oncology. Doctors in other specialty areas, such as Ophthalmology, are consulted, depending on the organs affected.
