Image of adrenal pheochromocytoma

Axial computed tomographic image of an asymptomatic patient with an incidentally discovered 5-cm left adrenal pheochromocytoma (arrow). This mass has an imaging phenotype consistent with pheochromocytoma: it is dense, vascular, and inhomogeneous. The Hounsfield unit density before contrast medium administration was 45. Ten minutes after administration, there was only 38% contrast washout.
