Survival probability in the MADIT-CRT trial. The diagnosis of heart failure, which was made by physicians who were aware of study group assignments, required signs and symptoms consistent with CHF that was responsive to intravenous decongestive therapy on an outpatient basis or an augmented decongestive regimen with oral or parenteral medications during an in-hospital stay.
