Mammogram image and molecular breast imaging from a patient with a known breast cancer

The mammogram and MBI images from a patient with a known 20-mm breast cancer detected by mammography (left, arrow). MBI (right) detected this cancer (upper arrow) and an additional 10-mm cancer (lower arrow) not detected on the mammogram. This patient had mildly dense breasts on mammography and no apparent risk factors for breast cancer, other than advanced age.
