Statue of the Mayo Brothers

When Dr. William J. Mayo and Dr. Charles H. Mayo commented on the accomplishments that earned them global acclaim, they often spoke in terms of "my brother and I." That simple phrase reveals some profound values at the heart of the Mayo Clinic: teamwork and the sharing of diverse skills to achieve a common good. This statue depicts Dr. Charlie (left)and Dr. Will sitting together. It is located in Statuary Park across Third Avenue S.W. from the Gonda Building.
