Lynch Syndrome

Treatment in Minnesota

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is one of the largest colon cancer treatment centers in the world, treating thousands of patients every year. Patients who have hereditary colon diseases work with an integrated team of specialists who carefully monitor for cancer throughout life.

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota also has one of the nation's largest and most distinguished colorectal surgery practices. Physicians who specialize solely in colorectal surgery have particular experience and expertise in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) procedures. The clinic also maintains a colorectal cancer prevention registry to help keep patients informed of new screening techniques and procedures and is actively involved in research to find better treatments for hereditary colon disorders.
