Lynch syndrome

Research

Mayo Clinic researchers are actively investigating new ways to identify and treat people with Lynch syndrome, as well as novel opportunities for cancer prevention. Mayo doctors are seeking to better understand and discover more of the genetic mutations that cause Lynch syndrome. Mayo Clinic developed microsatellite instability (MSI) and an MSI tumor test for identifying Lynch syndrome, helping doctors make important decisions on the timing and delivery of care for people with the disease.
