The Mayo Clinic Colorectal Cancer Prevention Registry is the foundation of the clinic's multispecialty approach to colon cancer prevention. The registry identifies and sends educational materials to patients at high risk of colorectal cancer based on their personal and family histories. High-risk people are invited to make appointments for consultations, screening or diagnostic testing, polyp removal, and genetic counseling when appropriate.
