Lymphoma

Research

Mayo Clinic has received a Lymphoma SPORE Grant Specialized Program of Research Excellence) from the National Cancer Institute since 2002. Mayo is committed to developing more effective and less toxic treatments for all forms of lymphoma.

Mayo is a leader in several areas of lymphoma research, including:

  • The use of antibodies to disrupt cancer cells' signaling pathways and to stimulate the body's anti-cancer immune response in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
  • Treatments combining drugs which disrupt lymphoma cells' signaling pathways in Hodgkin's lymphoma.
  • Clinical trials of immunological therapies and new drugs to improve the symptoms and survival of patients who have cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
  • New methods of stem cell harvest to enhance immune recovery after transplant.
  • Lymphoma's causes and genetics.
