Lymphoma

Research

Mayo Clinic physicians and researchers are working to develop new therapies for patients who have many types of lymphoma. Researchers are taking many different approaches, including:

  • Identification of target molecules that are overexpressed in non-Hodgkin lymphoma cells and development of methods to inhibit the pathways they support
  • Testing of monoclonal antibodies and new drugs to combat Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Clinical trails of immunological therapies and new drugs to improve the symptoms and survival of patients who have cutaneous T-cell lymphoma

Patients also benefit from the expertise of Mayo Clinic Cancer Center researchers. The National Cancer Institute has designated the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center as a comprehensive cancer center, a designation given to cancer centers whose cancer researchers and clinicians meet stringent standards. Mayo surgeons and clinicians are known nationally for their skill.
