Specialists in neurology care for people who have Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. The ALS Center staff includes doctors with training in neuromuscular conditions (neurologists), physical and occupational therapists, a speech and language pathologist, a social worker, a nutrition specialist (dietitian), a breathing (respiratory) therapist and a nurse coordinator. The ALS Association has certified the Mayo Clinic ALS Center in Arizona as a Center of Excellence.
