Specialists in Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona care for people who have ALS with the diagnosis and treatment options described in these pages. Within the department, the ALS Center is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians dedicated to the treatment ALS and other motor neuron diseases. The Mayo Clinic ALS Center has received national certification as a Center of Excellence by the National ALS Association. The Mayo team consists of neurologists with expertise in neuromuscular disorders, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologist, social worker, dietitian, respiratory therapist and nurse coordinator.
