The ALS Center at Mayo Clinic in Florida offers integrated, supportive care and information for people who have Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), their families and caregivers. The ALS care team can help to coordinate your diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, nutrition, breathing care (pulmonary care) and follow-up care.
The team works closely with the ALS Association and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The ALS Association has certified the ALS Center at Mayo Clinic in Florida as a Center of Excellence. Support groups for people with ALS and their family members are available throughout the region.
The ALS Center at Mayo Clinic in Florida maintains an active research program, providing opportunities for people to participate in studies of potential new treatments and research to better understand the causes and effects of ALS. Learn more about Mayo Clinic ALS research.
