Genetic liver diseases

  • Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency
  • Crigler-Najjar syndrome
  • Familial amyloidosis
  • Gilbert's syndrome
  • Dubin-Johnson syndrome
  • Hereditary hemochromatosis is the most common genetic liver disorder. It involves excess iron storage and is usually diagnosed in adults. Mayo is a leading center for treatment of this disorder.
