Laboratory Medicine-Pathology in Arizona

Overview

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology provides consultation on diagnostic problems regarding the evaluation, interpretation or correlation of clinical laboratory data and test methodology. Esoteric tests not available locally may be obtained through Mayo Medical Laboratories in Rochester, Minnesota, through a dedicated overnight courier. Anatomic pathology consultations are also available on cases in which glass slides or tissue blocks can be submitted for microscopic examination.

Clinical laboratory testing for patients is available, as well as consultative work for the set-up, staffing, equipment purchase and evaluation and test repertoire selection for referring physician office laboratories.

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is state (Arizona) and federally licensed and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
