The Department supports physicians at Mayo Clinic and elsewhere by performing testing services for diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations. For patients, your physician is your link to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

Nine divisions in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology perform more than 13 million tests per year for a wide range of diseases, treatments and services.
