Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology

The Division of Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological fluids such as blood, serum or plasma, urine, or tissues for specific chemical constituents or physiologic processes. Physicians use these test results to screen for, diagnose, or monitor disease.

The staff of Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology are also engaged in applied research to create new diagnostic clinical laboratory tests to identify or monitor disease, disease processes, or treatment of disease. Examples of tests created by laboratories affiliated with Clinical Biochemistry & Immunology include:
