Nursing Graduate Program
Program Highlights
- Upon beginning the Nurse Tech II class (Day 1), there is a formal meet and greet with Nursing Administration. Four months later, Nursing Administration will formally meet again with the new graduate group to discuss how orientation has progressed.
- The program allows an opportunity to refine skills and enhance knowledge that incorporates specific policy, procedural practices, and equipment unique to Mayo Clinic.
- The support program provides an opportunity for the new nursing graduate to begin developing relationships through personal and professional growth. As nursing colleagues, we share a common interest, value a collaborative learning environment, and are passionate about learning.
- Individual recognition is shared upon successful completion of the NCLEX-RN exam.
- New Graduate Educators work collaboratively with the nurse managers, supervisors, and unit-based educators to foster the transitional success from Nurse Tech II to Registered Nurse (RN).
- The New Graduate Series consist of physicians, advanced practice nurses, and other allied health staff members to provide a comprehensive educational program to further enhance Mayo-specific practices.
