To which state board of nursing should I apply for licensure if I am offered a position in the Nurse Residency Program and do not live in Arizona?
If you live out of state and are looking to relocate to Arizona, it's recommended that you apply directly to the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Submitting your application for licensure by examination directly to the Arizona State Board of Nursing will streamline the process and decrease additional fees. That means all required paperwork should be submitted directly to the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Refer to the Arizona State Board of Nursing website for additional information.
Do I need to take my National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam in the state in which I am looking to become licensed as a registered nurse?
No. Once you have received your authorization to test, you can schedule your NCLEX-RN exam in any state. The testing company will send your NCLEX-RN results to the state board of nursing where you submitted your application.
