Mayo Clinic's Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) is one of the largest in the world, focusing on clinical practice, education, and research in invasive cardiology. The cardiac catheterization team includes adult and pediatric cardiologists, invasive cardiologists, cardiovascular radiologists, registered nurses (RNs), cardiovascular and thoracic technicians(CVTs), radiologic technologists (RTs), cardiovascular invasive specialists (CVISs) and registered cardiac invasive specialists (RCISs). Last year, we performed 7,109 diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures and more than 1,700 interventional procedures.
