Children

For children with ITP, Mayo Clinic in Minnesota offers a child-friendly environment and the latest treatment approaches from pediatric hematologists and the treatment team. Because ITP in children may develop after a virus and go away on its own, sometimes doctors choose to observe a child carefully while providing treatment for any symptoms. Children who need inpatient care stay at Mayo Eugenio Litta Children's Hospital.
