Video Production

Video Production Samples

The Division of Media Support Services works with many clients throughout Mayo Clinic. Each client has different needs and a different audience it is trying to reach, but all have the same expectations when it comes to quality. These four samples are representative of the kind of projects the division produces.

The samples require the QuickTime plug-in for viewing. If you do not have QuickTime on your system, click here to download it.

Mayo Clinic Cancer Center
This piece was produced and broadcast entirely in HD. The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center wanted to create a showpiece exemplifying the many different aspects of care and research throughout Mayo Clinic.

The Creation of Cortisone
Mayo Clinic has a rich history of touching many lives in ways people often aren't aware of. One such way is the discovery of the drug cortisone. This video was created in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the discovery of this drug.

Eating for a Healthy Heart
One of the basic tenants of Mayo Clinic is education. Our biggest client is the Patient Education Center. The audiences for these videos expect to see the same kind of quality they see on television. This award-winning video and DVD incorporated the use of graphics and animation to turn a very dry subject into something entertaining and engaging.

Teen Surgery
Going in for surgery can be a very scary prospect no matter the age of the patient. This video focused on a teen audience and used graphics, animation, stylistic elements, and humor to communicate the needed information in a manner that teens would accept and enjoy.
