
Opened in 2007, the state-of-the-art Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center's goal is to provide an inclusive wellness experience for Mayo employees.
Mayo Clinic offers unpaid internships for undergraduate students in exercise science, health/wellness promotion and related fields. Interns gain experience at both Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center (DAHLC) locations on the Mayo Clinic campus in Rochester, Minn. Together, these sites encompass more than 127,000 square feet and incorporate state-of-the-art equipment and services. DAHLC serves all Mayo Clinic employees, program students, volunteers, retirees, spouses and same-gender domestic partners. Self-motivated and creative students should apply.
The internship at Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center is aimed at providing you with comprehensive hands-on practical and technical experience in administering fitness assessments, data interpretation and providing exercise recommendations and programming. Interns can enhance their professional development and gain hands-on experience in innovative fitness programming, small group training and specialized fitness classes in addition to delivering comprehensive wellness programs or education presentations that focus on weight management, stress management and nutrition.
Internships last 12 to 15 weeks, but length may be adjusted to meet school requirements.
