What is my role as a Construction Management Intern at Mayo Clinic?
Summer interns will be exposed to relevant construction management experiences, including project management, contractor monitoring, estimating, bidding, inspection and scheduling. You will gain experience in a full range of field tasks, from large-scale construction and renovation projects to relocation scheduling and maintenance.
Where will I work?
Major projects will take place on the Rochester campus, and Rochester will serve as the operations base. Some tasks may be related to other facilities in the Rochester region and at Mayo Health System sites in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
What will I be expected to wear for the program?
Business attire.
What shifts will I work?
Most shifts are regular business hours, between 8 a.m. and
5
p.m., Monday through Friday. However, some projects may require travel or work time outside these hours.
When does the summer internship program start?
Generally, the internship begins in early June. The starting date can be arranged to accommodate a student's schedule.
