The Construction Management Internship provides relevant field experience for junior or senior-level construction management students. The annual program begins in early June, depending on the candidate's schedule, and lasts between 10 and 15 weeks.

During the program, interns have opportunities to gain relevant field experience in the following areas:

  • Managing minor construction and maintenance projects
  • Assisting/observing management of major projects
  • Monitoring contractors and subcontractors for construction, renovation, remodeling, maintaining and demolishing Mayo facilities
  • Estimating and bidding
  • Life-safety inspection and infection-control monitoring
  • Scheduling internal Mayo work groups for relocation and move-in activities

The goal of the Construction Management Internship Program is to provide experience and knowledge as an owner's representative responsible for successful remodels and maintenance occurring within a fully functional facility.
