The image on the left is prior to catheter-based septal ablation, while the right image was obtained at follow-up 3 months after the procedure. Note the systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve causing obstruction in the baseline image, which is abolished due to akinesis of the septum at follow-up (arrows).
