Unique disease-oriented group communication and organization in Mayo Clinic's hematology division serve to focus the research efforts of our large group of hematologists and to improve the level of care provided by each member of the group. Many of our staff also have other interests, and they evaluate and treat some patients outside their disease group orientation and consult with each other on individual patients' problems.
