Treatment Team

Treatment of a heart attack occurs both during and after the attack. Care is provided by specialists in Cardiovascular Diseases, Emergency Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Critical Care Services and, when applicable, the Nicotine Dependence Center.

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville offers comprehensive, individualized rehabilitation and preventive care plans for patients who have had heart attacks or other heart, lung and vascular diseases. The goals of the expert multidisciplinary team are to assess risk, reduce symptoms and risk factors, and ultimately prolong survival.
