National thought leaders reached consensus on principles of health care reform in a series of events sponsored by the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center.
The principles, or cornerstones, include Creating Value, Coordinated Care, Payment Reform and Health Insurance for All. Each cornerstone includes action steps and strategies as well as Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center plans for moving patient-centered health care reform closer to reality.
National leaders in medical and health care education met in April 2009 to begin the discussion of how the education system can be reformed to support patient-centered health care reform.
