Moving Toward High-Value Care Delivery

As Congress contemplates health reform legislation, it is urgent that their discussions and decisions are informed by specific recommendations regarding care delivery that come directly from the provider community. At this event, the MCHPC will convene a diverse group and seek consensus that can be shared with decision-makers in Congress on the following topics:

  • Recommendations regarding policies that will help move Medicare toward paying for value.
  • Activities currently underway at diverse organizations to create value and bend the cost curve in the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Barriers to these kinds of care models (and therefore potential solutions to those barriers) with particular emphasis on specific recommendations concerning payment methodologies or reimbursement models.

During the event, participants also will work to achieve consensus on at least two key activities that the organizations represented will agree to pursue together that will improve value and reduce cost in the delivery system.
