Services
Consultative and surgical services in the Division of Hand Surgery include:
- Rheumatoid hand/ elbow/shoulder reconstruction
- Arthritic conditions of the upper extremity
- Complex traumatic conditions of the upper extremity (acute and chronic, or residual problems)
- Tendon transfers and soft-tissue reconstruction
- Reconstructive microsurgery
- Peripheral nerve and brachial plexus disorders
- Post-traumatic pain of the upper extremity
- Fractures/dislocations
- Stiffness/contractures/deformities
- Non-unions and malunions of fractures
- Tumors of the upper extremity (including skin cancer and melanoma)
- Complex infectious disorders
- Athletic injuries of the upper extremity
- Spasticity/ cerebral palsy
- Vascular/vasospastic disorders
The following procedures are also offered: endoscopic carpal tunnel release, wrist arthroscopy, surface replacement arthroplasty of the interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints (patients must be enrolled in clinical trial), and implantable peripheral neurostimulators.
