Home away from home for transplant patients

By Mayo Clinic Staff

The Village at Mayo Clinic

The Tweed family donated their Brusally Ranch to Mayo Clinic in 1999. Proceeds from the sale of the ranch were used to build the Brusally Community House, which is surrounded by the Village at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

Gabriel House of Care

In 2008, Jorge Bacardi received a double-lung transplant at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. In recognition of this exceptional care, the Bacardi family made the lead gift to build the Gabriel House of Care.

The Gift of Life Transplant Home

In 2015, to mark the 75th anniversary of Henry Zarrow's first visit to Mayo Clinic, his foundation made a significant gift to support the transplant home and name the Gift of Life Transplant House: Anne and Henry Zarrow Home in Rochester, Minnesota. It is one of two Gift of Life houses founded by Edward Pompeian, a transplant recipient and Mayo Clinic Principal Benefactor.

Mayo Clinic starts with one goal in mind — serving the needs of our patients in the best way possible. Thank you for your support.
