In response to new treatment options for hepatitis C, which offer greater possibilities of cure, Mayo Clinic in Arizona has created an Accelerated Viral Referral Clinic as a resource to help community doctors manage their patients who have hepatitis C. It is for people diagnosed with hepatitis C who haven't responded to traditional treatments.
Mayo Clinic specialists are experienced in managing the drug treatments for hepatitis C. Mayo also has the capability to determine the genetic type (genotype) of hepatitis virus, to determine which treatment would be most effective.
