Below are some mathematical models developed by investigators at Mayo Clinic to predict survival and outcomes in patients with liver diseases. These models are for use by medical professionals.

Models for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD)

The Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) is a reliable measure of mortality risk in patients with end-stage liver disease and suitable for use as a disease severity index to determine organ allocation priorities. See the MELD models.
