  • Genetic testing in chronic and recurrent acute pancreatitis

  • Preliminary assessment of oral FK506 for Crohn's enterocutaneous fistula
  • Assess effect of octreotide in decreasing pain perception in noncardiac chest pain
  • Comparing two electrical generators for endoscopic sphincterotomy
  • PH testing in patients on twice-daily PPI to determine nocturnal acid breakthrough
  • Testing trophic factor in short-bowel patients to try to increase absorptive capacity
  • Adefovir/hepatitis B for liver transplant candidates/recipients with Lamivudine-resistant HBV
  • Transplant patients with hepatitis B virus to determine dose/kinetics of Boca HBVig with lamivudine
  • Combination Rebetron and Interleukin 2 for previously treated nonresponders with hepatitis C virus
  • Raloxifene for treatment of osteoporosis in PBC
  • Embolization of portal vein of noninvolved liver segment to induce hypertrophy, allowing hepatic resection of liver tumors
  • Photodynamic therapy for esophageal malignancy and Barrett's esophagus
