Gastroenterologic and General Surgery in Minnesota

Services

The Division of Gastroenterologic and General Surgery comprises 12 highly trained surgeons with extensive experience. All members of the division are involved in clinical research, while some have a dedicated basic science interest. All have published extensively in the surgical literature and 8 of the 11 members currently hold the academic rank of professor of surgery.

The division has particular expertise in the management of complex surgical conditions of the breast and endocrine organs, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, surgical oncology including melanoma, and surgical management of morbid obesity. Mayo surgeons are leaders in the use of minimally invasive surgery.
