Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

Treatment in Florida

About 5,000 patients who have gastroesophageal reflux are evaluated and treated at Mayo Clinic in Florida each year. Our gastroenterologists offer the latest diagnostic procedures and treatments for GERD, including radiofrequency treatment and injection therapy. Our physicians also have extensive experience evaluating noncardiac chest pain. In conjunction with the Department of Surgery, they also evaluate patients to determine if they are candidates for anti-reflux surgery to cure their chronic heartburn.

Treatment Team

Specialists in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and sometimes General Surgery treat patients who have GERD.
