The Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is one of the largest academic general internal medicine divisions in the world. GIM has more than 90 internal medicine specialists who provide care during more than 73,000 outpatient visits and 3,300 inpatient hospitalizations a year. Staff members in the division evaluate and treat people coming to Mayo Clinic from within the United States and from other countries.
