Gastroparesis

Treatment in Minnesota

Physicians at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota have been at the forefront of the study and treatment of motility disorders, including gastroparesis, for more than 50 years. During that time, they have helped develop innovative diagnostic techniques and therapies for complex digestive problems, earning Mayo Clinic an international reputation as a leading motility center.

Today, patients with gastroparesis are seen by a group of distinguished specialists from the Motility Interest Group. These specialists have training, interest and experience in motility disorders and are actively involved in research, including studies of diabetic gastroparesis. They are committed to developing effective, comprehensive treatments for the patients in their care as well as to finding new and better therapeutic options. To this end, physicians at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota participate in the Enteric Neuroscience Program which brings together clinicians and researchers from all three Mayo sites in a common effort to study the biological processes that control gastrointestinal motility.

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is ranked No. 1 in Digestive Disorders in the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings. Mayo Clinic also ranks among the Best Children's Hospitals in Digestive Disorders.
