Swine Flu — Mayo Clinic Response

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has activated its Emergency Operations Center in response to new cases and growing concern about the swine flu outbreak (influenza A (H1N1) in the United States and internationally.

Mayo Clinic is maintaining regular contact with the CDC, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Homeland Security, while closely monitoring the situation. Mayo has an emergency response plan for a potential flu pandemic, and is prepared to activate it, if necessary. We are committed to providing a safe and healthful environment for our patients, employees and visitors.
