For the 18th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., to the Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals, those the magazine says "excel at treating a variety of demanding illnesses."
"This recognition reflects the excellence of our entire staff and reinforces what we hear from patients about the quality of our people and the care they provide," says Glenn Forbes, M.D., CEO of Mayo Clinic Rochester. "That's the most important acknowledgment we receive. And it's a indication on the commitment of our staff to be the best for every patient every day."
To make the 2007 Honor Roll, the 18 medical centers recognized had to rank at or near the top in at least 6 of the 16 specialties, what the magazine calls a "super elite" group.
