Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. cough
  3. diarrhea
  4. difficult or labored breathing
  5. fever
  6. headache
  7. joint or muscle pain
  8. nausea
  9. numbness or tingling of the hands, feet, or face
  10. redness and soreness of the eyes
  11. skin rash
  12. sore throat
  13. sores in the mouth
  14. swelling of the feet or lower legs
  15. unusual feeling of discomfort or illness
  16. unusual tiredness
  17. vomiting

Rare

  1. Abdominal or stomach swelling
  2. decreased appetite
  3. fast, shallow breathing
  4. sleepiness

Incidence not known

  1. Blistering, peeling, or loosening of the skin
  2. chest pain or discomfort
  3. chills
  4. dark urine
  5. itching
  6. light-colored stools
  7. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  8. red, irritated eyes
  9. red skin lesions, often with a purple center
  10. sores, ulcers, or white spots in the mouth or on the lips
  11. sweating
  12. unusual weakness
  13. upper right abdominal or stomach pain
  14. yellow eyes and skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Headache

Less common

  1. Trouble sleeping

Incidence not known

  1. Breast enlargement
  2. buffalo hump
  3. central obesity
  4. facial wasting
  5. gaining weight around your neck, upper back, breast, face, or waist
  6. peripheral wasting
