Mayo Clinic offers the following integrative medicine therapies. Not all services are available at each Mayo Clinic campus.

Physician consultation

During a physician consultation, you talk with a doctor trained in integrative medicine. He or she assesses your needs and helps you develop a treatment plan. Bring to this appointment a list of supplements and medications that you take, including doses. Your doctor may recommend:

  • Dietary supplements and botanicals
  • Mind-body connection, such as meditation, yoga, tai chi or spiritual practices
  • Acupuncture
  • Massage
  • Stress management
  • Exercise and activity
  • Nutrition
  • Animal-assisted therapy (Caring Canines volunteer program)
