Dr. Robert Bright has been a member of the Mayo Clinic staff since 2007. He is an Assistant Dean of Student Career Advising in the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Associate Chair for Education in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. He is the 2018 recipient of the Mayo Clinic Arizona Distinguished Educator of the Year award. He attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for medical school. His residency and his fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine were at the University of California in San Francisco. He directs the preclinical and clinical medical school educational programs in Psychiatry and oversees resident training for psychiatry, neurology and internal medicine residents doing rotations in the department. He is a Course Director of the Mayo Clinic Psychiatry in Medical Settings annual course and a Site Director for the Mayo Clinic Communications in Healthcare course.
