Transplant Patient Pilot Program

The Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center has introduced a pilot program to assist Mayo Clinic patients who are experiencing the cosmetic side effects of solid organ transplant.

The program, "Creating Confidence for Organ Transplant Patients Coping with Cosmetic Side Effects," provides patients with up-to-date information, customized services, and the products necessary to help them maintain their personal appearance following organ transplants and during follow-up treatments.

Patients in the program receive a complimentary, individualized session covering techniques to manage hair loss/thinning, skills to care for skin and nails, and tips for applying cosmetics as a corrective measure. A gift bag consisting of sunscreen and other products is also provided.
