Staff members at Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center meet with Mayo Clinic patients to determine their individual needs. A variety of complimentary and retail wigs, scarves, turbans and baseball caps are available for adults and children who have hair loss because of medical treatment.

Services include sessions with a licensed cosmetologist, regular classes with a certified "Look Good, Feel Better" consultant, and scarf-tying classes.

Wig care products and an expanded selection of wigs, bangs, scarves, turbans and hats are also for sale. Proceeds from the sale of these items support the complimentary wig program.

Insurance Coverage

The Erickson Center does not bill insurance companies directly, but insurance plans may cover some resources the center provides. Patients should consider requesting authorization and submitting receipts to their insurance carrier for reimbursement.
