Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center offers help to Mayo Clinic patients who are experiencing the cosmetic side effects of medical treatments. The center provides products and services to help you maintain your personal appearance during illness or medical treatment. You receive confidential and discreet consultations in a private fitting area.

Often, medications patients take to suppress the immune system following solid organ transplants can result in changes to skin, hair, teeth, fingernails and toenails. Patients undergoing cancer treatments can experience similar cosmetic side effects. These changes can impact your emotional state and, in turn, affect your physical well-being.

The Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center provides an encouraging and friendly environment where you can receive free, personalized consultations regarding skin care and hair alternatives. Offerings include classes, educational materials, cosmetic products, and head coverings, including wigs.

The generosity of Charlie O. Erickson and the leadership of the Rochester Methodist Hospital Auxiliary are responsible for creating and maintaining the center. Cosmetologists and Auxiliary volunteers staff the Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center. The center's location and operating hours are:

Patients who have appointments receive priority. Please allow a minimum of 45 minutes for a visit.

Erickson Hair & Skin Care Center is closed on clinic holidays and occasionally for administrative purposes.
