You will begin your employment at Mayo Clinic with a two-day new employee orientation. A follow-up session will held three months later. New employee orientation is designed to provide employees with a positive, memorable first impression of Mayo; instill a sense of Mayo history, mission and culture; create awareness of expectations; and acquaint employees with resources available to ensure their professional and personal development.
In addition to the new employee orientation, Environmental Services has an in-depth and hands-on training program developed by the department educator which will cover cleaning techniques, products, and all aspects of your new job. After completion of this program, you and your supervisor will review your job specific information. Employees in the initial stages of employment work with a mentor.
