The Division of Audiology in Rochester, a part of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, serves the needs of people with hearing and balance problems.
Audiologists are professionals trained in the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders. The Rochester staff consists of 22 audiologists — four Ph.D. level and 18 master's-level audiologists. They provide the full range of audiological services, including pediatric evaluations, auditory evoked responses, hearing aid evaluations and dispensing, and cochlear implants. Specialized evaluations of balance disorders are also accomplished with a state-of-the-art vestibular laboratory.
The Audiology Section serves patients from Rochester, across the country and around the world and does thousands of procedures annually.
